In 1999, TheIdeaWeb started with a single page linking to several search engines and news resources. Today, TheIdeaWeb offers some of the same great features available from other big "web portals" -- with a difference.

Our customer's opinions make up everything that we do. User opinions are included in our content, guide the changes that we make, and the services that we offer. Every member has a voice in things, and can publicly give their input, feedback, praise, and constructive criticisms in our user forums.

In addition, we are always always striving to make our service offerings more effective, easy to use, and fun. We continue to make changes and better our services whenever possible.

The majority of TheIdeaWeb's services are advertising supported. Advertising support is a major factor in our continuing ability to offer free services. To keep our user's visits pleasant, we do not utilize pop-up ads, and attempt to stay away from over-animated flashing banners. For users interested in an ad-free experience, we offer our 'contributors' program.
